Katie & John - Intimate Elopement at Fred Fletcher Park
Corona Virus or Covid-19 has really put a damper on weddings this spring. But there are alternative ways around having a giant wedding that could compromise friends and family. Before the lockdown went into place several couples decided to forgo or postpone the large gathering to share a simple elopement together.
Katie and John weren’t even on my books, they weren’t even my client. But a few days before their intimate ceremony, a few friends who were quarantined on the West Coast came together to gift them a photographer for their moment, even if it was 10 people in the park.
After the ceremony they shared a glass of champagne, while her dad said a few words about the couple and afterwards I was able to really capture the foliage of the park, which was in full bloom.
Typically being a Raleigh Wedding Photographer, I would have a packed season, full of weddings, (May actually had 9 weddings scheduled before this) so even having one, small, gorgeous, intimate elopement on my books was enough to make me jump for joy. Here’s to hoping this lockdown is lifted soon, the world goes back to normal, and we can go back to dancing the night away.
Even with a Covid-19 elopement they were able to share vows under the spring blossoms.
