Brian & Kate - Surprise Proposal at NCMA
Yes to all the surprise proposals. And this one was one to remember. First off, Brian had planned to pop the question in April in Charleston, but Covid cancelled his plans. Once that happened he re-grouped and came up with plan B. And then….. once rain was in the forecast came Plan C.
We moved his Sunday morning proposal to Saturday afternoon, in the middle of a bustling park full of people. Brian had scouted the perfect spot, but we hadn’t accounted for the sunlight at 2pm. I also had to bribe a family of four to move their blankets over to make sure there weren’t as many people in their way. But once that was secure, Brian set up a picnic, poured some wine, and waited for his moment (all while I hid behind a tree and made conversation with the family I moved.)
After Kate said yes, we took some more stylized photos and Kate couldn’t stop gushing at the ring and getting used to calling Brian her “fiance” They ate grapes, drank wine, and after they left, Brian surprised Kate with an engagement party with all her friends and family.
