Charis & Scott - Falls Lake Elopement - Wake County Detention Center Wedding
The small, intimate wedding is here to stay. Charis and Scott are both busy, being in the medical field and knew they wouldn’t have a lot of time for a big wedding, especially with Covid. Even though most of their family and friends couldn’t make it, they absolutely knew they needed to have their parents there. Once they were there, it was ready, set, go.
Charis found a vintage dress on Etsy from the 1950’s, a butterfly fossil necklace, and hiking boots. Luckily their house backed up to Falls Lake, so we explored some trails, and found a magical land right in their backyard. After portraits we went downtown to the Wake County Detention Center for these two to make it official. Since the Wake County Courthouse is closed due to Covid-19, these two lucked out with an outside ceremony at the detention center.
While being married at the Wake County Detention Center isn’t everyone’s optimal wedding location, for these two it was perfect.
