Karyn & Will - Fourth of July Downtown Raleigh Elopement

Things have changed, the world is still at a standstill, and couples are looking to me to help plan their intimate elopements or micro-wedding. When Karyn and Will reached out to me only a few months ago they told me they were planning an elopement on the 4th of July with friends and family from New York. Of course that happened to be the week New York implemented their travel ban. What was going to be a early morning ceremony turned into an evening affair as they waited for cousins from Charlotte to drive up and be their witnesses.

Having recently moved here they were unsure as to where to elope in downtown Raleigh, thus I stepped in. They knew they wanted a space that felt romantic, green, and had a bit of regality. I attended NC State and had driven down this road too many times to count. Of course a giant thunderstorm rolled in the night before spilling debris everywhere but after a little clean up session it was good to go!

We walked around campus, then these two shared vows and tied the knot as the sunset over the horizon. Of course since it was the 4th of July there had to be sparklers!
