Anna & Jordan - Rainy Elopement in Hillsborough - Orange County Courthouse Wedding

These two postponed their wedding three times, and on each day the forecast called for rain. It was inevitable that they were going to tie the knot under a mist that they say only strengthens the knot you have together as a couple.

The Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough NC has become one of the most popular courthouse weddings for this year, not only because it’s not super busy but because of your ability to get married outside (even when it’s not a pandemic)

Anna and Jordan only had their parents accompany them for their intimate, rain soaked ceremony under the historic oak tree as they shared vows, exchanged rings, and celebrated for the first time as husband and wife. After taking a few portraits around the River Walk and trekking through the dense, damp foliage, we all headed back to Downtown Raleigh to toast the new couple. At Whiskey Kitchen a patron even gifted the table a bottle of champagne as their parents told stories, and offered congratulations and well wishes for the happy couple.

Even in the bleakest of times, watching these intimate ceremonies overfilled with love and joy reminds me not only that I chose the right profession but that there are still moments of light in the world.
