Spring Engagement in The Triangle - Monica and Jason

Spring time in the Triangle, if you can get past the pollen, it’s one of the most gorgeous times of the year in North Carolina. Monica and Jason knew they wanted to take their engagement photos surrounded by flowers, and after spending the day in Chapel Hill I suggested the Coker Arboretum.

Most couples approach me about shooting in Duke Gardens around this time of year, but did you know that they require a permit to shoot there?

If you’re wanting a spring engagement session in the Triangle that doesn’t require a permit here are my favorites:

Coker Arboretum - Located on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill, you’ll find 5 acres of beautiful serene settings that change with the seasons.

Fred Fletcher Park - Convenient downtown Raleigh location with plenty of open space and tranquil atmosphere.

Raleigh Rose Garden - Another hidden gem in downtown Raleigh, catch the roses in full bloom starting each June.

JC Raulston Arboretum - 10 acres of nationally acclaimed botanical gardens located in Raleigh, NC.
