Abby & Abby - A Proposal at The Biltmore in Asheville

Popping the question is always a nerve wrecking moment, but doing it in the middle of the pandemic, at the Biltmore surrounded by hundreds of people and trying to find a cute little spot away from everyone.... is A lot! But Abby was 100% prepared, she had planned this moment, this Biltmore proposal almost a year in advance - that way her partner Abby would have no idea it was coming (and yes they are both named Abby - how adorable is that). Even though I have lived in North Carolina my entire life I had never actually been inside the Biltmore…. I had been on the grounds for a few weddings but of course I chose Christmas time to explore and see all the lights.

I had scouted the perfect location, and was texting Abby as to where to find me as I pretended to take photos of Emily.. and then BAM! Proposal time! Afterwards we walked around the grounds, took a few snapshots…. AND after another couple ran after me to take a few photos of them (which you can see here) and then we wine tasted… and then made the trek back to Raleigh.
