Leigh & Elliot - Savannah Anniversary Session - Bonaventure Cemetery Photos

When Leigh casually mentioned “You should come visit me in Savannah” I literally added it to my calendar.
1. Because her and Elliot were such amazing clients when I captured their wedding a few years ago at the Mansion on Forsyth (which you can view here) and 2. Because she runs a food instagram that literally makes my mouth water every time she posts one of her creations (please view it here and become obsessed)

So when she mentioned she wanted to take some photos to celebrate their anniversary and this time they get to spend together (Elliot is in the military and isn’t home all the time) I jumped at the chance! And when she let me choose the location I immediately thought of Bonaventure Cemetery. I had visited this historic cemetery when I visited Savannah almost 7 years ago and I hadn’t stopped thinking about it since. They had never been before so it was cool showing locals around a place in their hometown!

After this session - where we only froze in the shade, they showed me around their adorable downtown apartment and fed me probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I’m telling ya’ll - it’s clients like this that make me love my job more than anything else in the world! Can’t wait to go back to Savannah, or get them to come visit the 9-1-9.
