How to Find The Right Photographer? Behind-The-Scenes with Park and Zac in Raleigh
So you probably recognize Parker and Zac from their vintage 70’s truck shoot. I’ve known Parker since her modeling days at Uniquities and I’ve been so happy that we’ve kept in touch. When I was thinking about reshooting my behind the scenes, Three Region Experience video I knew that I wanted to have Parker and Zac as my subjects. They always bring a great energy to the day and even braved a very cold winter day for this shoot. Since Parker lives in New York and Zac lives in South Carolina they spend the holidays together back in NC and I usually ask them to sit for me for one of my styled sessions. Parker and I met when she used to model for Uniquities, a high-end boutique I’ve had the pleasure of shooting for the last three years.
These photos were taken during Blue Hour, the hour after golden hour right when the sun has set and is fading away across the horizon. Especially in winter blue hour gives the images a blueish hue that remind me of classic film photography and are definitely a one of kind look for any session.
I really wanted to do this shoot to update my “Behind the Scenes” video that shows off what it’s like to work with me. How the experience turns into the images that you see below.
When looking for the right photographer for your wedding or other event make sure to ask yourself these questions:
Do I see myself in the photos on their portfolio?
Does this editing style match my vision of the photos I want to receive?
Does the photographer have the same values as myself? (Inclusivity, etc)
Can I get along with this person? (Read their bios and listen to their voice on social pages to see if you align)
Also make sure that the photographer you choose has the answer to these questions on their page. But these are the key things I believe make for a great client/photographer relationship.
