Winter Wedding at The Meadows Raleigh - Marisa & Graham

Wedding Photography has taken me to so many places in my career but The Meadows at Firefly Preserve is probably my most frequented location. I have shot so many weddings here I could basically do it with my eyes closed. One of my favorite things about capturing weddings at the Meadows is the variety of weddings that can take place there. Rustic, Industrial, Dark & Moody, Minimalist, Maximalist. Whatever you desire it can be accomplished here. I think thats one of the many reasons it never gets boring and how I can keep going back because I truly never know what I’m walking into. Every wedding I shoot there is one of a kind. Tailored to match the couples personality and individual tastes.

Marisa and Graham wanted to keep it traditional and simple. They shared personal vows during their first look that left them both in tears. They met online and share a love of Lord Of The Rings which they incorporated into their wedding. They’ve been together for 3 years and they have 3 amazing dogs, which they were able to bring to the wedding. Planning an out of town can be channeled because these two live in DC but they handled it with ease.

They knew the thing they cared about most when it came to their wedding was to have a outdoorsy, laid back, playful day that they could look back on thirty years later with fondess. And honestly that’s one of the main things I want my photographs to express, is timeless memories. I try not to do too many trends and just make sure my photographs feel as if they were taken at any time period. Like my couples I too care about timeless, classic photos.

One of my favorite aspects of Marisa and Grahams wedding day was the little personalized touches. Especially the cigar bar. Not to mention this entire crew cut it up on the dance floor. They shared a private last dance together before an epic sparkler exit!
