Groovy, Disco Trollz Themed Wedding at Mini Acres Farm, Raleigh with Kelsey & Blair
Don’t let the initial pictures fool you, there was indeed a disco ball and dance floor where everyone got their groove on and the bride and groom did a t-shirt toss. But before we get to that, let’s start with
THE DRESS!!!! This was such a different wedding day than your normal black tie event. But it was absolutely perfect and eclectic in every way, which was how Kelsey & Blair had pictured their day. But the dress, the chiffon number in a pastel pink. My god was it absolutely breath taking in the portraits in contrast to the moody lighting that we had in the woods of Mini Acre Farms. For those who are first timers, you should know I love doing these alternative couple shoots, with tattooed brides and women who know they don’t have to don a white dress to call it a wedding. I also have an obsession with cemetery shoots and so when we spotted the tomb stones in the woods, I knew exactly how I wanted Kelsey & Blair to position themselves for these artsy portraits.
Now, the party and after party…absolute lively. Absolutely groovy. It was such an energetic crowd of loved ones and I loved the outfit changes and the bursts of color on the dance floor. Since Kelsey & Blair had already been married prior to this day, their focus was really just having a outrageously fun time with their loved ones on and off the dance floor. It was a celebration that featured lovely food from the food trucks, beers, and lots of disco and troll themed items. The party did not stop there though, as there was an after party where guests continued having a good time at a nearby diner. Cocktails were passed around and so many toasts to celebrate the couple. I loved being able to capture everyone in their element as the drinks kept pouring and being able to witness this intimate good time that the couple had created to celebrate themselves beside their friends and family.
