Downtown Raleigh Courthouse Wedding and Portraits at Heights House with Nick & Linn
Eloping offers an intimate and unique way for couples to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. By choosing to elope, couples can prioritize the significance of their partnership and focus on the genuine connection they share. Without the pressures and expectations of a larger wedding, couples have the freedom to craft a deeply personal and meaningful experience that truly reflects who they are. Whether it's exchanging vows in a breathtaking natural setting or in a romantic destination, eloping provides an opportunity for couples to create cherished memories in a stress-free environment. The simplicity and authenticity of eloping can make the experience just as special, if not more so, as a larger wedding, allowing the couple to wholeheartedly embrace the moment and begin their journey together in a profoundly meaningful way.
After meeting in college in North Carolina, Nick and Linn knew they wanted to be together, but when her study abroad program was over and she had to move back to Sweden, Nick and Linn continued visiting each other until Covid happened, and it restricted travel. After bing long distance for the last three years, and going through Visa process to be able to live together, they were finally able to have Linn make the move and make their six year relationship complete by getting married. They knew they wanted to have a simple wedding, before her family could come over and celebrate with them next spring. So they headed over to the Wake County Courthouse in Raleigh, before spending the evening at the gorgeous Heights House hotel. Once they had a date, I was able to capture this special moment with them, and even ended up being a witness.
They shared champagne and snacks at the Heights House and were surprised by several bouquets from Linns family members. It was a special moment and I was so glad I was able to capture it for them.
