Industrial Warehouse Engagement with Bekah and Dylan
Okay, Okay. So maybe this isn’t a Raleigh Engagement Session but if you know anything about the way the Google algorithm works I have to use keywords. It’s basically ridiculous but we have to do what we have to do. So you may have seen Bekah and Dylan on the blog a few times and one of their photos even went viral on Pinterest but if this is your first time seeing these two, check them out!
I’ve been living in Raleigh my entire life and I’ve literally seen it change and transform, buildings coming and going over the years until its become a completely new city. This also means I know to appreciate places before they are gone. I had driven past this little patch of nothingness for years, seeing it from my vantage point on Capitol Blvd and I always said to myself I want to shoot there. Well I finally checked it out and it did not disappoint. Where urban industrialism meets dilapidated Bekah and Dylan played dress up and allowed me to capture the music video inside my heart. I had been literally watching the 1975 videos non stop in preparation for the new album and was super inspired by their beautiful imagery. It also might have to do with the fact that I’ve been writing a novel about punk kids in the late 80s that puts places like this in a special place in my heart. I hope that you enjoy this expression of art and intimacy before this land becomes a skyscraper and I will only be able to point and recall what once was.
