Winter Wedding at The Meadows - Elis & Matt

This winter wedding at The Meadows at Firefly Preserve was a long time coming. Elis and Matt booked me for their 2020 wedding all the way in 2019. Since they were living in New York at the time, planning long distance was already a challenge. Add a global pandemic on top of it and it became impossible After a few touch calls they decided it was best to postpone, and ended up having a gorgeous wedding day in December 2021.

So many changes happened in their lives during that time, they ended up moving from New York to DC and were finally able to share this day with friends and family. My absolute favorite part of their wedding day was the stories that were shared during their ceremony. Their officiant was actually a friend, and then they asked people in the audience to share stories. It was apparent that their love story was meant to be.

If you’re wondering what The Meadows can look like during off-season here it is in all its glory. Another pro- of North Carolina weddings is the fact that the weather stays nice well into December.
