Grungy, Gothic, Rock & Roll Wedding at Full Moon Resort Catskills, NY with Kayleigh & Matt
I’m alway a sucker for a dark, moody photography session! Kayleigh having seen me in action for her brother’s wedding, and seen the results of some of my fun Halloween shoots reached out and asked me to help document her moody, romantic goth wedding weekend with Matt in the Catskills Mountain. I always love traveling for weddings and getting the spend the weekend in the mountains, close to Woodstock, where some of my family lives.
They pictured a three day long party that would feature moody, romantic goth themes with some of the rustic resort’s aesthetic mixed in. There would be a BBQ, nightly fires, and lots and lots of performances by their favorite drag, freak, and burlesque performers from New York City. The after party at the dive bar down the street proved a success and the energy that the couple and their close family and friends gave was unmatched.
Kayleigh & Matt met at a biker bar and have been together for almost 8 years. They enjoy going on date nights and loving on their fur baby, as well as Kayleigh’s 12 year old daughter who owns a hair salon and horror shop called Strangelove Parlor. For their wedding ceremony, one of their best friend’s friends married them. The rustic vibes were further brought to life with the officiant’s cowboy hat on full display! The dark, rich colors of the men’s suits and the florals really stood out against the greenery and further brought more life to an already energetic ceremony!
