Dark and Moody Halloween Wedding at The Meadows at Firefly Preserve Raleigh with Dan & Sophia

Dan & Sophia were looking for a documentary photographer for their Halloween wedding at the Meadows at Firefly Preserve and I was happy to oblige. As a Raleigh Wedding Photographer, The Meadows is one of my favorite venues to shoot at. With it's sprawling fields, tall grasses, and vineyards it gives so much variety to the wedding day. Can we talk about that dark and moody fog.

These two are some of my favorite humans and I have had the pleasure of getting to know them over the last few years. Their spooky lifestyle matches mine and they knew they wanted to have a wedding in October and capture all the witchy vibes. They chose to get married in the forest at The Meadows, which I always call the Blair Witch Circle. and I was so excited to not only be a photographer but a guest at this one. It was such a great day with amazing music selection as Dan’s vinyl collection rivals even the great record stores in the area. These two definitely have taste when it comes to food and moody, new wave and punk music.

Also as a bride who also wore black on her wedding day, can we all take a moment to appreciate the amazingness that was Sophia’s wedding dress. I mean, a bride in black, you cannot go wrong.

I wish nothing but happiness for these two and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
